I think Tobias is my favorite character because he is so accepting of others even those who on the surface may look much different. I'm thinking of Skillit and the Indians but also everyone else he meets. He just expects people to be honest.

Favorite Part - The end of course. I always want to know what happened. It's amazing to me to think that after all that hard life a simple blue dress could make Emma really pretty. But, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Fav Part: is when they go to the cafe, you wouldn't believe how much they ate!!!

Fav Character: Zech at times can be very FUNNY!!!

Fav Quote: is when Frog said, "There gonna be babies thick a June-bugs round here!" lol!!

Favorite Part: When Tobias sold their first herd of cattle for $13,840!!! and then took the MacIvey clan to eat at the cafe'. I loved how Tobias stood up for Skillet's right to eat in the cafe' just like every other MacIvey. Go Tobias !

Favorite Character: TOBIAS !! He is the embodiment of a hard working man/father/provider/leader for his family. I admire him for wearing so many hats in his lifetime and wearing them all with a special kind of grace.

Favorite quote: Tobias says about Ishmeal " Don't spoil that horse. He won a race, but he's still got to work for his keep."

FAVORITE PART: When they were at the Christmas frolic and Zech met Glenda for the first time

FAVORITE CHARACTER: I would probably say Zech because he is adventureous and he is Kewl....

FAVORITE QUOTE: My favorite quote would have to be when Glenda asked if Zech would be promised to her... I thought it was funny how Zech responded to her like he didn't know what she was talking about.

I would have to say Frog. Frog can be funny, make a point, and keep his kewl at the same time!!!

FAVORITE CHARACTER: I think my favorite character has to be Frog. Frog is funny but he is cool also!!!

FAVORITE PART - the alligator hunt.
Tobias, Zech, and Skillit try to make their fortune with gator hides. Little did they know, gators don't part with their hides too easily. "Lordy, Lordy, that gator's done tore my britches!"

FAVORITE CHARACTER - Emma
Emma is such a loving person. She fed and cared for to all who came to the MacIvey homestead...the Seminoles, Skillit, Frog and Bonzo, and finally Glenda.

All of the dialogue is so much fun to say out loud. I love it when Skillit talks, but I think my favorite quote is when
Zech says to Skillit, "They ain't wolves, they's dawgs!"
